(BEUTER's TELFGBA.MS.) Loa'don, July 1. . i The Conservative candidates have been returned unopposed for the three Liverpool seats, Baron de Worms being one of the number. Mr Michael Davitt, Home Ruler; has announced himself a candidate in opposition to the Marquis of Hartington. Mr Gladstone has issued an appeal to the London electors, calling upon them to support such candidates as are. pledged to redress the injustice which Ireland, suffers, and thus consolidate a hearty union between fhat country and England, which will add immortal strength to the British Empire. Nomination of candidates for the new Parliament commenced to-day, when 265 members were elected without opposition. > -The- returns give the following party divisions of those elected.:— Supporters of Gladstone. 55 ; Unionists, 46 ; Conservatives, 96 ; Parnellites; 68. Received July 3, 1.15 a.m. ' London, July 2. The announcement that Davitt intended to oppose the return of the ■ j Marquis of Harrington for the Eos- | sendale division of Lancashire is stated to be erroneous.
