Messrs Stevens and Gorton's Stock Report
We have thie month up to the present held four successful stock sales.' A small sale at Woodville on Ist, amd comparatively large sales at Palmerston, Bulls, and Awahun, on th« 3rd Bth, and 15th instants respectively. The attendances were good, and entries of both cattle and sheep satisfactory. At Palmerston, in spite of the bad weather, we sold a good many pens of cattle, and every pen of sheep excepting one. At Bulls the sale was particularly brisk for sheep, and we sold every sheep (over 1,750) yarded. It was, however, anil at first for cattle, but got more§*pirited as the sale went on, and we quitted most of the pens. At Awahuri it was just the reverse.
