June 11. j In the House of Lords yesterday, ' Earl Carnarvon, being questioned, admitted that while Lord-lieutenant ■ of Ireland, in July, 1885, he had an interview with MrParnell, but denied that upon that occasion he had entered into any compact or had made any offer ou behalf of the Government for the establishment of an Irish Parliament.
