The French Princes
The news telegraphed to-day from ; Paris, of yesterday's date, to the effect that the French Government will take measures for the expulsion of the Princes from France instantly the Bill authorising them to do so is passed, savors somewhat of panic legisla- j tion. That the Bill will be passed is a forgone conclusion. The growing I influence of the Princes and the largo number of influential supporters surrounding them, has excited alarm in the of the Republicans now governing the State. When the Princes are expatriated the tyranny by a majority will intensify the feeling in favor of the sufferers, and many persons who were indifferent before will then be transformed into warm partisans. The present system of Government has for a long time only been submitted to by the French, therefor© should any of the Princes, or any able General among those who sympathise with them, raise the flag of revolt, a ruling Prince would occupy the throne in six months. A change of any kind is always charm- j ing to that lively people, and this 1 will be their opportunity. * {
