Christchurch. May 26.

A meeting of those intending to proceed to the Kimberley goldfields was held to-night. Fully 300 were present, and as many more unable- to gain, admission. It was decided that the s.s. Triumph be despatched- for Derby on June 26th. Dunedin May 27. About 20 go to Kimberley to-day. . ; : Greymouth, May 28. Several miners left en route for Kimberley -by the Omapere this morning. Otners have left previously by other boats and other routes. Private and Press letters, from the mines agree that lhe excitement is increasing, many wanting to realise on mining property in order to Ket away. .
