The usual fortnightly meeting of the Council was held on Thursday evening. Present — Councillors J. C. Thompson (in the chair), Worsfold, P. It said the Kiwitea stream was stiU encroaching on Kimbolton [road, and recommended certain work to bcu, done in order to prevent furtouis f .a]_l^ ; croacnment. Mr Brandt's bridge in '' Grey street was rotten and required tOjbeput in order at a cost of about $9. :'-•- The report. ■of the committee. t&A _ Derby street bridge was read as follows — Mr Knox agrees to the. diversion of the water without compensation. The committee recommend the purchase of Arnott's property fer the sum of £60.
