Adelaide, May 27. The South Australian Parliament was opened to-day by his Excellency the Governor, Sir W. Robinson. Various bill. were announced, including measures for dealing with Local Self-government, Education, Insolvency, Vermin, and providing tor the establishment of a board tor the management of the railways. A bill will also be introduced in order to bring the colony under the Federation Union.
Notice has been given •_ the intention of the Opposition to move a vote of want ot confidence on Tuesday next.
Svdnkt, May 28. Mr Holt the defaulting Bank Manager was .brought up for trial to-day, and pleaded guilty. He was remanded for sentence.
Arrived this morning, the Wakatipu from New Zealand. _ Sailed, this afternoon, the Rotomahana for New Zealand.
