In the H«m»<» yesterday Mr Guinness moved, That railway free pa sues he granted to school children other than those attending state school". — Mr Stout opposed on the ground of t'»e expense. — Captain Russell supported, and urged a similar concession should be made in the case of pupil teachers n country schools —Major Atkinson moved as an amendment, Thnt the same facilities as to free passes should be given to children attending private schools. This was carried on a division by 39 to 25. — The second readine of the following Bills were earned — Limitation of Votes Bill, Law Practitioners Bill, Native iieserres Title Grant Empowerinj Bill.
