Messrs Howard Smith's steamer Gambia will leave for Cambridge Gulf on the 25th inst., and not the 18th as previously intimated. Eeceived May 13, noon. This Day. Sir Henry Parkes'- motion of want o! confidence in the * Treasurer's budget proposals came on for discussion in tin Legislative Assembly last niuht and was ultimately rejected by 66 votes to 22, although most' of the speeches -during the evening indicated disapproval of the main portions of the budget.
Melbourne, May 12. ' Parties are being organised to proceed to the Kiunberley goldfields. They will proceed as fur as Cambridge Gulf in the steamer Gambia which leaves Sydney on the 18th inst.
