* STEVENS AND GORTON'S REPORT. We have held three, sales during the week, at Marton on Tuesday 27th, at > lbs A. Lumsden's, Carnarvon, on Wednesday 28th, and at Feilding on Thursday 29th. We were disappointed about f some cattle at Marton, owing to the . Easter holidays, but we yarded 1100 , sheep. The attendance was good, but , bidding dull. We sold all ttie cattle i excepting the cows, and six lots of sheep, i The attendance at Mrs Lumsdeu's sale t was very large and the stock and implements brought capital priees, the bidding I for ttie cattle, horses, and sheep bring t spirited throughout. At Feilding. in t spite of ttie worst weather we have had 9 for years at any sale, the yards were filled with an exoellent line of considerably over 300 head ef cattle, but the weather prevented the vendors from [ bringing their sheep. The attendance was^ good, the bidding for cattle more' spirited, the prices obtained more satis- ;; faotory, and we sold by far the larger! * majority. The following are the rates at j; the different sales:— ! * Marton.— Yearling heifers, £1 4/-; * weaners (mixed), 21/- ; ewes in lamb, _ 2-tooth and upwards, 6/6; full mouth ewes in lamb, 4/3 to 4/6; lambs, 5/- J v cull lambs, 2/8. Mrs Lumsden's sale at Carnarvon.-^ Milkers, £2 5/- to £5 6/-; mixed yearlings and 18-mo, £2 ; store cows, £2 3/6; 9 fat wethers, 8/11 ; 2-tooth wethers, 7/1; draught horse one, £26 10/- ; two £26 ; que, £21 ; balance, from £7 5/- to £17 't f TO/-, v Feilding. — Very forward bullocks, £5 12/6: 3-yr steers, £4 9/6 • 2-yr steers, £3. 2/6 ; fat cows, £3 2/6 to £4 4/6 ; 18--i mo to 2-yr steers, £2 15/0; yr and 18--mo steers, £2 2/6 to £2 5/-; weaners (mixed), 20/- to 21/-; milkers, £4 7/-; " bull, £3; fat sheep (nearly all wethers), * 8/7. __^
