A curious law point w.ir raised toaday in the Resident Magistrate's Court in an affiliation case. The child having died since the proceedings commenced, the defendant's counsel raited the point whether an order tor confinement axpensvb could be made, seeing that no order for support could now be made. The decision is reserved, the point never having been raised before in the colony. Wellington, April 30.
