At the usual monthly meeting of the above board held on Tuesday last, there were pzesent — Messrs Watt (chairman), Fry, Sanson,Bridge, Bates, Boss, Baker, and Carson. Correspondence. — Erom Kimbolton Bond Btating that the two half time sohools were about to be opened, and asking for a quantity of schooj reauiaities. Referred to Inspector.— From Kimbolton Road re a building. Referred to committee. . .
- The report of the committee on the Bunnythorpe school was accepted. The sum of £150 was voted for the purpose of establishing a school at Cheltenham.
Scholarships. — The Inspector reported that Miss Kilgour, of Upper Tutaenui, the winner of a scholarship last year, was .not receiving higher education, and he wished for instructionsjonthe subject.— Mr Sanson moved That scholarship holders be informed that unless they attend schools where higher subjects are taught, they will not receive the scholarship money. — Seconded by Mr Baker and carried. Mangaone. — Application to have school lined* Referred to building committee.
Feilding. — Application for school requisites, &0., also for painting and ventilation. Granted in part. Beaconsfield. — Application for desks To be forwarded.
