A Silly Wedding
Ono of those surprising weddings, which ouly take place iv America, was colebratod iv the city of Nero, Indiar.opolis, not many months ago. Tho bride was dressed in a robo made of leaves from the husks of maize, neatly sewn together with thread spun from nettle fibre. The shoes were nianu- ; factured by the bride's sister from i oaten straw, while a third sister knitted her stockings with feathers from the saddle- back duck. The bridal veil was of white horse hair, in net work ; very pretty. The bridegroom was clad after the fashion of a backwoodsman, in deerskins which were beautifully dressed and colored with dyes from peach blossoms. The happy pair, at the conclusion of the marriage ceremony, started for the forest where they will pass the honeymoon in a cavern, specially prepared for the auspicious occasion. These sort of nle would be locked up as lunatics ew Zealand.
