STEVENS & GORTON'S REPORT.
At our Bulls sale yesterday, our yards were well filled, every cattle pen being brought into use. The attendance was good, and bidding for cattle more spirited, but it became duller when selling the sheep. We, however, after the sale^ were able to quit a large number at satisfactory rates. Cattle. — Very forward bullocks, £5 10/- ; fat cows, £4 to £4 7/6 ; 2£ to 3-yr steors, £3 13/- to £3 15/- ; 18-mo steers, £2 12/6 to £2 15/-; yearlings (mixed), 32/6 ; yearling heifers, 31/- ; 2&-yr heifers, £2 6/- to £3 1/-. Sheep.— Fat ewes, 7/4 ; breeding ewes, 6/3 to 7/10; full mouth ewes, 4/6; lambs, 3/4 to 4/5. Pigs.— Suckers, 3/1. Horses. — Hacks, £9.
Bulls, April 14, 1886. (beuteb's telegrams.) London, April 12. Consols are quoted at £100 15/-. New Zealand securities are unchanged. Colonial breadstuffs.— Adelaide wheat has declined to 36/- per 496 lb, ex store. Tallow is at previous quotations. Wool.— At to-day's auction 1 1,600 bales were catalogued. The market was dull.
