Death From Accident and Exposure

Harry Fenvrick, 68 years »f age, was brought to the Christcharch hospital today, after having undergone an expenence of the most terrible description. It appears that about; 6 o'clock, while driving a spring cart loaded with piga and fowls along the road from Kaiapbi to the Maori pa, he was capsized into a deep ditch, the cart falling on top of him. His right leg was broken, and he was unable to extricate himself. He lay in.- -. the ditch pinned down by the rvehicle through the irhole night exposed to the , drenching rain. About 8 o'clock -%fo '■■., morning he was found by som^ Maoris, who took him to Kaiapoi, whence he wir" sent in a trap to Christchijrch.
