The N.Z.L. & M.A. Conipauy report under date, of March 25 :— GRASS SEEDS. Dunedin. — Ryegrass has had good demand during the month from the North, and large orders have been oxecuted at prices ranging from 3/3 to 4/6, ex store, bags extra, for farmers' undressed lots. Cocksfoot continues dull ; no sales of any importance have been reported. Christchurch. — Ryegrass — Prices are decidedly easier ; best maclnno -dressed is offering at 5/- to 5/3 ; farmers' lots at 3/9 to 4/6. Cocksfoot. — The supply has only been moderato during the past few weeks, and orders for immediate requirements have kept prices up to the level of last month, but the market now shows signs of weakness. 3|d has been accepted for good soed and is likely to be the ruling rate shortly. Cablo advices from London just received announce but a feeble demand.

Wellington. — During the month we have placed considerable quantities of Cocksfoot. Owing to the rocent dry weather, the demand has slackened off, but we expect to have enquires when a fair amount of rain ha,s fallen. .

Napier. — Very little business doing. Nelson. — Hops — Last j r ear's crop may now be quoted at from 3d to sd. Tho samples of the new crop which have come to hand, though not so bright as last year's, aro of good quality, and owing to the shortness of the yield there is every likelihood of a considerable advance in price ; present quotations for new are from 8d to lOd.

Wanganui. — Potatoes — Rates are firm, with a good demand for best sorts. The market is well supplied at present.
