Messrs Murray, Roberts, arid «'6. haT« received a cable message from their London friends (Messrs Sanderson, Murray, and Co.) as follows : -"March 23. Th* second series of wool sales Vax - been opened with average attendance of hayrrfc. Coarse crossbred is about, t'qiwl to -dosing rates of last London sale;*; other descriptions have declined 5 to 10 per cent>v scoured wool is neglected," ' '; Messrs Bethune and Hunter hare re« ceired the follow ing telegram, from Messrs Dnlgetty and Co. (linuled):— "London, 23rd March. Wool sales opened* very flat ; larae catalogue, but poor selection ; merino wools comparatively, cheaper than crossbreds ; faulty classes badly com* peted for. State of trade in tallow getting worse." '
