Accident at Stoney Creek
TWO MEN KILLED. Two men named Buffie and Dember went down a well at Stoney Creek this afternoon, and foul air being there no answer could be got from them. They are believed to be dead, and Constable Manning and Dr Macintire went out to the spot just as we (Manawatu Times) went to press. It was sometime before they could be extricated, and onthe arrival of Dr Macintire he pronounced life extinct for some time.
