B-CTBB'S TBLEOBAHB.I London 1 , February 2. Admiral Hay has been directed to forcibly prevent an attack on Turkey by Greece. The ringleaders in the Nihilistic, plot at Warsaw against the life of the Czar, which was discovered in July, 1884, have been executed. Upward of 100 persons, including Russians, Servians, and Bulgarians, were arrested at the time for complicity in it. It is officially, denied that Greece has any intentions of submitting to the Powers. The Prussian Diet haa approved of the . expulsion of Poles from Prussia, which has been going on for some time past nnder , instructions' from Prjnee Biunarck The Marquis or Harrington disagrees with the Irish policy proposed by Mr Gladstone. Lord Boseberry will probably take the portfolio of Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs. Tbe colonial Agents« General waited upon Colonel Stanley, Secretary of State for the Colonies, to-day, to bid him farewell on hie resignation. In returning thanks to them, Colonel Stanley stated that affairs in New Guinea remained at a standstill until the difficulty in regard to providing funds for administration of the country was settled. Tbe Guardian, which is the principal organ of the Church ef England, objects to Dr Moorhouse being transferred from Melbourne to Manchester, and maintains that it is desirable that colonial Bishops should devote their lives to colonial ser« vice. Prince Alexander is to be appointed Governor of Eastern Ronmelia for the term of fire years, renewable at the discretion of the Sultan, in return for which he undertakes to act in the defence of Turkey should occasion require.
