EEUTEB'S TELEGBAMB.I Londok, January 28. It is reported that Admiral Hay has been ordered to proceed to the Piraeus. Fifteen hundred Burmese have been defeated at Kadal. The Greek fleet are at present in hiding. A conservative candidate has been re turned by a large majority for Crojdon, in the place of Mr William Grantham, Q.O. The Mediterranean sqaadran, under the cemmand of Admiral Lord John Hay has been ordered to proceed to Crete. In an article upon the Victorian loan the Standard states that the brokers consider the price a dear one. The loan is however, quoted at 2\ premium. Sir Francis Dillon Bell, AgeatkGeneral for New Zealand, in aletter to the Times, says that' it is uncertain whether New Zealand will place a lean in the market before June. The Victorian stocks are saw firmer. At a meeting at the Mansion House on the question of State emigration, Sir Soul Samuel, Agent-General for New South Wales, and the Hen. J. P. Garrick Agent-General for Queensland, stated that the colonies preferred to select for themselves the class of people that should be sent out. The Sultan and Priac* Alexander have arranged a personal union respecting Boumehan affairs. Sir Saul Samuel and Sir Daniel Cooper formerallv of Sydney, have been appointed Acting-Commissioners for New South Wales at the Indian and Colonial Exhibition. At the Exhibitien, it is the intention of Queensland to work a quarts batterj. Sir Saul Samuel denies the statement that New S*uth Wales will shortly place a loan of two millions on th» market.
