HANDICAP HUEDLE EACE, 60 soys. To start at 11 a.m, Nomination 1 soy ; acceptance 2 soys. Distance 2 miles ; over 8 flights of hurdles 3ft 6in high. 2. HACK HUEDLE EACE, 15 soys. To start at 11.45 p.m. Post entry 1 soy. Weight not less than 10 stone. Open to hacks that have never won public money (hack races excepted). Distance 1 mile and a distance. Jockeys to ride in colors. 3. FLYING HANDICAP, 60 sevs. To start at 12.30 p.m. Nomination 1 soy ; acceptance 2 soys. Distance 6 furlongs. 4. SELLING HACK EACE, 30 soys. To start at 1.15 p.m. Post entry 1 so?. Weight not less than 9 stone. For all hacks that have never won public money (hack races excepted). The winner of this race to become the property of the Stewards, and to be sold immgdiately nfter the race. Any other horse in the race may be put up te auction at the request of any Steward or competitor in the race. '1 he owner to receive the upset price of £20 ; any further sum realised to go to the funds of the Club. 1 mile and a distance. Jockeys to ride in colors. 5. MANAWATU EACING CLUB HANDICAP, 150 soys, second horse to receive 25 sors from the stakes. To start at 230 p.m. Nomination 2 soys ; acceptance 4 soys. Distance If miles. The winner of any race of 100 soys after the declaration of the weights to carry a penalty of 51bs, of 150 soys 71bs. 6. LADIES' BEACELET, a handicap of 30 soys in plate or specie, at winner's Minimum weight 10 stone. 'Nomination 1 soy; acceptance 1 soy. Horses to be nominated by ladies. Gentlemen riders, to be approved by the Stewards. Distance 1 i miles. Eiders in racing costume. To start at 3.15 p.m. . 7. STEWAEDS' STAKES, a handicap of 100 soys, second horse to receive 10 soys from the stakes. To start at 4 p.m. Nomination 1 soy ; acceptance 3 soys. Distance 1£ miles. The winner of the Flying Handicap to carry a penalty of 51b, and of the M.E.C. Handicap 71b. The winner of any race of 100 soys after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 51b, of 150 soys 71b. NOMINATIONS. For Handicap Hurdles, Flying Handicap, M.E.C. Handicap, Ladies' Bracelet, and Stewards Stakes will be received addressed to the Secretary Manawatu Eacing Club at the Commercial Hotel. Palmerston North, up to Wednesday, 3rd February, 1886, at 9 p.m. Weights will be declared on Wednes* day, 10th February. ACCEPTANCES. For Handicap Hurdles, Flying Handicap, M.E.C, Handic&p, Ladies' Bracelet, and Stewards Stakes close on Monday, 22nd February, at 9 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entry will be received for any Eace except upon this condition. — That all Disputes, Claims, and Objections arising put of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final.. ! All entries to be sealed and addressed to - the secretary, Palmerston North ; Entrance Money enclosed with Name, Age at the time of Entry, Pedigree, and, in the "case of Handicaps, Performances of the Horse, Name of the Owner, and of the Eider. Any Jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined '3sovs. j When two or more horses start (the .property of the same owner) a Distinguishing Colour must be worn. : All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give Notice to that; effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the scales one half «hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this Eule shall pay a fine of 5 soys to the Kace Fund. All races to be run under the W.J.C. Eules. Horses walking over will only receive half the stakes. : No horse to save its stakes in any race except where otherwise specified. All Entries and Nominations must be in the hands of the secretary at the time and place as advertised, accompanied by the amount of nominations and entrance money. Post marks will not be received under any pretence whatever, and nominations unpaid at the time of d l ie date of weights will be struck off the list.
