The Severed Hand Mystery

The severed hand case resumed today. — Mrs Howard's sister deposed that she was married to Howard on the voyage from England, on board [ the Janet Court, by Captain John Crawford. There was no clergyman on board. No evidence was called for the defence, and all the prisoners were committed for trial, bail being allowed the Godfreys and Mrs. Howard two sureties of £100 each, and Howard two sureties of £200.
