The Shipping Company's Rimutaka, from Wellington (December 17th), arrived at Plymouth yesterday morning, her frozen meat cargo being in excellent condition. The mails ex Peninsular and Oriental Kaiser I. Hind, from Melbourne, December 17th, were delirered to-day, via Brindisi. It is reported that Mr Parnell has expressed himself satisfied with the attitude taken up by Mr Gladstone, and that he will not insist on any explicit assurance being given respecting an Irish policy. ■_ Received January 28, 9.30 a.m. London, January 26. The loan of half a million for the Mcl - bourne Tramway Trust will shortly be plaoed on the market. San Fbincisco, January 27. The homeward eelonial mails pel Alameda from Auckland, January sth, arrived here to-day. -
