The case of Studholme v. the Queen, which has been before the Supreme Court for some days, was decided this evening, when the jury gave a verdict for defendant (?) plaintiff) for £400. The claim was made, on the ground that a spark from a railway engine had set fire to the plaintiff's run, notwithstanding that it was proved that a spark deflector had been in use on the tngine furnace.
