__ _ At the Wellington Island Bay races (first day) the Handicap Hurdles fell to Secretary, and the Gold Gup to Nelson, with Captain Webster sec«nd, and Pearl third. This makes Nelson's third big win during the past six weeks. At the next day's races the Ladies' Bracelet was secured by Athol Daisy, Handicap Hurdles by Master Agnes, Newton Stakes by Malinger, (with Tasman second), City Stakes Handicap by Hill's Pasha, the Woodcote Stakes by Galatea, and the Consolation Handicap by Little Scrub. The following acceptances were received to-night for the first day's racing at the Hutt next week : — Telegraph Stakes. — Marion Bst 101 b, Malinger Bst Blb, Miss Dargon 7st 91b, Athol Daisy, Torea, and Little Scrub 7st lib, Juliet 6st 31b. The top weight not having accepted, the weights have been raised three pounds all round. Stewards' Handicap.— Armourer Bst ; 101 b, Leon Bst 71b, Salvage Bst 4lb, ! Rubdzahl and Revolver Bst lib, Bu- ' mour 7st lllb, Trickster and Athol Daisy 7st 4lb.
