Serious Carriage Accident
(r»R UNITED PRKfiS ASSOCIATION.) Napier, This D*j. A serious buggy accident occurred yesterday evening on the Shakespeare road. Two of the Misses Williams, daughters of Henry Wijliams, ironmonger, and Misg Speedy, of Wainui, were driving down the street when the horse went off at a rapid pace. In chocking him he came into collision with i>r Hitchiug's carriage. The horse then swerved and became quite unmanageable, and brought the buggy iv contact with a telegraph pole, capsizing the carriage aud the ladies 1 ' on to the stone kerb of the footpath. The two Misses Willams escaped with severe cuts and bruises, but Mist> Speedy, it is fearod has rcooived concussion of the brain, she has remained j unconscious since aud bleeds at the I ears. I
