Eangitikei Responsibility^— -On the- x motion of Mr .Beckett seconded by Mr Peat, it was resolved, That thd clerk . be : instructed to write to the Rahgitikei Ceunty pronto],, calling their attention,, to the fact that an infant from their district is now desti- , tute in the Wanganui gablf'and request them to take immediate action. ". ' Special Cbntributions?— lt wai resolved, That no money received for special purposes can be passed through the Charitable Aid Boar# funds. ... Hospital Board. — At 2 a'olook in the afternoon dome of the members met for thepurpose of holding a meeting of the Hospital Board, but as only Messrs Jackson, Beckett, Iveson, and Peat, were jpresent no business could be done. Dr Earle was in attendance. Some suggestioas were offered among which was on© that Dr Earle ahoula inspect a house that was considered suitable for the redption of out-door patients. The oustodian was authorised ■ to engage a cook, and the oferk w^tg^^ instructed to write to the Napier " Board with regard to what was considered an overcharge by that" body for the maintenance of a Palmerston patient in the Napier :'Hoßpital,-th© amount charged Jbeing £4 Us per day.
