The Bulgarian Question
(BBUTEB'B TELEOBAMB.) Constantinople, January 14. The collective notes, framed by the great Powers, have been presented to Greece, Servia, and Bulgaria, calling upon them to demobilise their armies. Considerable excitement prevails amongst the Greeks, and it is feared they may refuse to carry out the demands of the Powers. The Porte is arranging for the settlement of the Roumelian difficulty, the basis being the appointment for five years of a governor of Roumelia. The proposals put forward for the settlement of the Balkan difficulty are proving distasteful. Greece, Servia, and those countries are in consequence coalesing to oppose the union of Bulgaria and Eoumelia. Received January 16, 1.40 a.m. Constantinoplb, January 15. The joint delegates appointed by Bulgaria and Servia to arrange terms between the two countries meet at Bucharist on an early date. London, January 15. The Times this morning states that Greece and Servia have refused to comply with the note of the Powers calling upon them to reduce their armaments to a peace footing.
