Palmerston North, up to Wednesday, 3rd February, 1886, at 9 p.m. Weights will be declared on Wednesday, 10th February. ACCEPTANCES. For Handicap Hurdle*; Fiyinsr Handicap, M. 11. C, Han-licap, Ladies' Bracelet, nnd Stewards Stukes close on Monday. 22nd February; at 9 p.m. KULES AND REGULATIONS. No entry will be received for any Raeo except upon this condition. — That ali Dispntes, Claim", and Objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed and addressed to . the secretary, Palmerston North ; Entrance Money enclosed with Name, Age at the time of Entry, Pedigree, and, in the case of Handicaps, Perlormances of the Horse, Name of the Owner, and Colors of the Rider. Any Jockey riding except in the colors entered will be fined 3sovs. When two or more horses start (the property of the same owner) a Distinguishing Colour must be worn. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give Notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the scales one half «h our before starting. Any person neglecting or > refusing to comply with this Rule shall pay a fine of 5 soys to the Kace Fund, All races to be run under the W.J.C. Bules. Horses walking orer will only receive half the stakes. No horse to save its stakes in any race except where otherwise specified. AH Entries and Nominations must be in the hands of the secretary at the time and place as advertised, accompanied by the amount of nominations and entrance money. Post marks will not be received under any pretence whatever, and nominations unpaid at the time of due date of weights will be struck off the list. 'Penalties in above programme not to be cumulative.
