A remarkable discovery was made at the Ellersh'e Bacecourse by Mr Blair, cordial manufacturer, who wasengaged in collecting lemonade bottles from the booths. While in the passage leading: to the ladies' room, he was astonished to see a carpet soake three feetr long scuttling ajong the concrete. It is probable that the stranger arrived in title colony in a case of Australian wine. A large number of cases of that beverage were opened at the grand stand during the recent meeting.
