Beck's Cordial Manufactory
In these days, when the cry of 41 local industries" is so loudly heard, it is quite a pleasure to visit Mr Beck's cordial manufactory at Falmerstou North, and see what can be done by the exercise of a little enterprise, combined with business prudence. Mr Beck has, since his advent in Palmereton, succeeded in establishing a Cordial and Aerated Waters Manufactory second to none on the West Coast. He has been enabled to accomplish this task by the liberal patronage accorded him throughout the district; and with the view of still further extending his business operations, Mr Beck has recently added to his plant a splendidly-finished 3-horse-power horizontal enginel and multitubular boiler, made by Mr E. Seager, of "Wellington. He has also imported from Homeaturnover bottling machine (the only machine of its kind, we believe, in the district), the latter enabling the proprietor to double the weekly output of the manufactory, and to meet all reasonable demands in the future. Mr Beck, to meet the varied tastes of his numerous customers during the coming festive season. has added several new and refreshing drinks to his list, comprising orange champagne, cherry nectar, and tonic. horehound beer, all of which shouLl -command a ready sale. Altogether, the factory is very complete, and the business energy and enterprise Mr Beck has shown should enable him to look confidently to the future for a large and steady increase to his business.
