STEVENS AND GORTON'S STOCK REPORT. Since our last report we have held sales at Awahuri and Marton on the Ist and 4th respectively. At both sales there were more stock came forward." than were advertised. The yards were fairly filled, and, the attendance was not so large at either of the sales. The bidding at Awahuri was, however, brisk, and we managed to quit nearly everything. At Marton it was duller, though we obtainced fair prices for what we. sold. We quote the following prices :— Awahuri — Fat cows, £4; forward cows, £3; 2 to 2£-yr steers, £3 11s; 18-mo steers, £2 10s; cows, £2 10s to £2. 16s ; mixed yearlings, 335; mixed weaners, 255; mixed hoggets in wool, 8s;. ewes with lambs. 9s 6d. : Marton— 2-yr steers, £31s6d; yearling steers 37s 6d; cows and heifers, £2 7s6d; milch cows, £3 to £5; weaners, 20s; 2 and 4 tooth wethers, 6s 9d; pigs, 7s. .
