ThU rate, had been levied, the original raj& Jjajrijtyi been declared invalid throueh wrong description by the Chief Justice in ihe late case, brought by the b»ar4.-r-The board's solicitor's opinion, stating that, although . he believed the re.lerying of the rate might be, successfully resisted,, yet as the result of the action is in the same degree uncertain, and no question of the future ratine being at stake, he could not under the circumstances recommend the board to contest the validity of the rate. — Besolred that the account be paid. -
