KEUTEB's TELEGBAMS.J LqwDoir, November 27. A private meeting of the creditors in the estate of Messrs Simes and Co., wo«l---brokers, was held yesterday. The meeting was of a stormy nature, and the creditors, who were prevent, are very reticent as to what took plnee. It is bettered that the liabilities of the firm will amount to nearly a quarter «f a million. Messrs Tyser and Co., who are ondearouring to break up the Australian shipping ring, are urging colonial importers to give positive instructions to their English agents to ship all good* by their vessels. They also state that the freights to Sydney exceeds that to Melbourne. At to-day's wool sales, 6,200 bales were catalogued, prices being still firm. The deficit in the Simes and Co. «state is about £70,000. The money of the firm is locked up in the Melrose | estate, New South Wales, and to this is attributed the failure. The wheat market is still dull, and there is but little alteration in the qa*ta« tions. Fcrward shipments are a shade lower than when last quoted. Two offcoast cargoes have been seld at 35s 9d and 35s 6d respectively. : -- »• For the wool sales 97,000 bales were catalogued, of which 7000 bales were withdrawn. Only small quantities were offered, and the bidding was strong. Scoured sorts are, however, a little weaker. The year's export from the River Plate is equal t» a million bales. The Imperial Parliament was dissolved to-day. Writs in connection with the general elections have been made returnable on the 12th January. The personalty of the late Mr Alexander Elder, of London and Adelaide, of the shipping firm of Elder, Swth, and Company, has been sworn at £282,000. The. property is to be divided between the children, subject to life interest of Mrs Elder, the widow of the deceased. The executors to the will are the widow, Mr Park, and Messrs George and Thomas, Elder, brothers of deceased. Caibo, November 27. General Cameron reports that a force ef some 800 Soudanese has made its appearance before Knosbay. The British forces are actively engaged in making preparations to resist them. Calcutta, November 29. Intelligence is to hand from Nepaul stating that a serious rebellion has broken out in that country. The insurgents attacked Khatmandu, the capital, murder-, ing the Prime Minister (Jung Bohadur, and taking prisoner the Maharajah, who is a minor.
