Czar tc make terms which the Tory stop-rgat Ministry are permitted to ratify Though Mr Gladstone is now eager U withdraw the country frdm the costlj and dangerous ' entanglements pi Egyptian occupation, he is able to recount manifold good results secure*] by . our enforced intervention ; and though, he admits serious errors oi judgment in the Soudan operations, he once more makes it clear that all the disasters and blunders resulted from the adoption by his political opponents of a policy against which he incessantly though vainly strove. Even the new trouble in the Balkans is the natural result of disregarding his earnest entreaty and pregnant warning.
