Odd Fellows Ball

«. __ ■- , The anniversary ball of the Loyal Manchester Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U., was held at the Town Hall last evening Owing to the inclemency of the weather the attendance was rather poor. There is little doubt had the evening turned out fine the gathering would have been a large and brilliant one. Notwithstanding this adverse circumstance, the ball passed off in a most satisfactory maimer, and- its management reflected great credit on the committee,; who, together; with. the secretary, Mr E.~Nix, left nothing undone that "was calculated to enhance . -»he comfort .rand, pleasure of those : present. Mr Berry jnade an efficient ' M.C., while the music discoursed by Mr King's band was all that could be" desired. The catering was entrusted ! to Mr Gould, who provided an .excel- ■ lent spread on the stage.
