Prize Firing '
———♦——.-• MANCHESTER RIFLES. The firing took place on Saturday last' under the command of Lieut. Blackmore, assisted by Staff-Sergt Major Henry. The ranges were at 200, 300, and 600 yards. A high wind prevailed during the shooting, and somewhat embarrassed the less-experienced members. The following are the scores bf the several competitors : —•Rose, 34; 'Humphries, 34; tW. Chamberlain, 32; **F. Fowles, 31; •Rowley, 30; •Poad. 27; Blackmore, 27 ; Evans, 26 ; Bilderbeck, 25 ; Stevens, 23 ; Gosling, 22; R. Henson, 21 ; Porthouse, 20; Ashworth, 20; Reid, 19; G. Robinsen, 16; G. Foster, 15; Cerkery, 13; Halcombe, 12; Chnshnson, 2. •The first six are prize-takers.
