The inquiry into the collision between the steamers Jane Douglas and Tui was concluded oa Thursday' afternoon. Mr Warden, Bendent Magistrate, delirered the following judgment:—"l am of opinion that, tike collision was due to indiscretion on the part of -Captain Pope, of the -Tui, in not giving a wider berth to tUe Jane Douglas when overtaking heron her passage down the harbour, and in racing his vessel against her.
