STEVENS AND GORTON'S STOCK REPORT.
At our stock sale at FeUding to-day, which was a very good sale, we yarded J 220 head of cattle and 800 shesp. The attendance was large and the bidding spirited. Cattle realized higher priest, and sheep kept up their price. We sold all the cattle excepting ««mt fat cowi passed in at £5, a pea of mixed oattle, and most of the sheep. Prices— Fat cows, L 4 6/- ; 2to 2^-yr steers, L4to L 4 2/6 ; 3-yr steers, L5; 2-yr steers, L 3 10/---2-yr heifers, L 212/ 6; 18-mo heifers, 37/6; yearlings (mixed), 35/- ; weaners (mixed), 25/- ; calves, 18/- ; cows, L 2 7/6 to L 2 10/- ; fat shorn sheep, 9/3 ; hoggets (mixed), 7/6, 9/2 and 9/3 ; ewei with lambs, 13/6. Hacks were not in much demand, we sold 3 from L3 to L 5 10/-. Feilding, October 27, 1885.
