L 75 ; Invercargill, 565 points, 2nd. prize, LSO; Clinst church, 53 i points, 3rd. prize, L 25. The others were — Auckland. 530 ; Wanganui, 506; Wellington, 486 ; Dune din, 476 ; Nelson, 332. Dunedin, October 12. A patient at the Ashburn Hall private asylum was foand dead in a creek near the asylum lying on his face in the water. The monthly escort brought to town gold valued at L30.U00. Auckland, October 12. Dnnu, a celebrated burglar, was sentenced to 14 years for burglary at the Oxford Hotel.
