Generosity
Our contemporary the Manawatu Daily Times in concluding an article on the sporting events which are to take place in Feilding and Palmerston on next Boxing Day says : " "We do not believe in sister townships injuring each other in their rivalry, but when such a spirit as the one displayed by Feilding is made manifest there is only one method of dealing with it. We therefore trust that Palmerstoii will not study the interests of Feilding in sporting matters for the future. Palmerston can offer the best inducements available on the coast, and by holding its meeting on Boxing Dav as at present arranged, and reserving its strength, it can come out with an autumn programme sufficient to crusl anything else." As Palmerston has never studied any interests than hei own, in the slightest degree, we think the above rather good. "We like tht programme which will " crush anything else." It would be interesting to see it tried on Pohangina quartz.
