STEVENS AND GORTON'S STOCK REPORT.
We held a large and successful sale at Fetlding yesterday, we yarded ju*t on 300 head of cattle and oTer 500 sheep. The attendance was Rood. The bidding for the cattle opened up dull but grew more spirited as the sale progressed and when it came to the hoggets there was keen competition. We sold all the sheep and the majority of cattle, anJ quote following satisfactory prices :— Fat cows, £5 5s to £5 7s 6d ; fat bullocks, £7 ; fat heifers. £4 15s ; 3-jr steers £4 17" ; 2 and 3-yr steers, £3 10s to £3 17s 6J ; 38-mos steers, 3ls; mixed cattle, £2 17s 6d ; 18-mo heifers 39* 6d ; mixed wenners, 21s; fat wethers, 13s 9d; hoggets mixed, 8s 6d 9s sd. We held a parade of entire horses previous to the sale, when the following horses were presented :—Diomedes, Watchman, Saturn, Robert Bruce, Southern Cliii'f. The horses attracted great attention among breeders and others. Bulls, September 30, 1885.
