[bBVTEB's TELEGBAMB.] London, September 29. The Earl of Dunrayen, speaking at a public meeting at Stockport, advocated taxing foreign imports and admitting colonial goods free of duty. Mr George Slond, of Newcastle. N. S.W., Bails for Sydney by the P. and O. steamer Kaiaer«i-Hind. Mr Chamberlain's attitude in the Liberal party is muck condemned. Mr Gladstone alone unites with him. The Tories sympathise with and the Court influence strongly favours Prince Alexander of Bulgaria. The Marquis of Salisbury has joined the Powers in accepting the position of affairs in Roumelia, and it is untrue that he has demanded that matters be restored to the status quo. At the preliminary examination of W. W. Stead, in connection with the abduction of the girl Lily Armstrong, that gentlemen cast grave reflections upon the King of the Belgians, and upon leading members of the Government and Opposition. The magistrate ruled that these remarks were irrelevant. At the battle of the Drin the Turks lost 200 men killed and wounded, while that of the Albanians was 1,000 killed and wonnded. Calcutta, September 29. Disastrous floods are reported from many parts of the Bengal Presidency. It is estimated that fully 3,500 square miles of country are at prevent under water.
