Meteorological Report for the week ended Fridajr, September 18, 1885. | The following table shows the readings | of the barometer and rain guage at 9.30 a.m. ou the days mentioned, and the I maximum and minimum temperature during the preceding 24 hours :—

COMMERCIAL. STEVENS & GORTON'S STOCK KEPORT. Our sale at Woodville on the 10th inst. was fairly attended, and the yards were filled with a lot ot useful stock. Prices 2-year steers, in low condition, £3 ; 18-months to 2-year heifers, 355; 2\yr heifers, £2 10s; fat heifers, £4; store cows, £2 15s ; milch cows, £4 to £5 7a6d; mixed yearlings, 32% 6d ; weaners, 25> i mixed hoggets, 7s 7d. At Bulls, on the 14th, we yarded about 200 head of cattle and 600 sheep. The attendance was smaller than usual, though that fact did not affect the bidding for the cattle, most of which was sold undei the hammer at satisfactory intes. Prices —Forward bullocks, £5 4* to £6 ; 2yi steers, £3 10s to L 3 12s 6d ; 2-yr heifers, L 2 2s 6d ; yearlings, 30s to 34s 6d ; store cows, L 2 5s t* L 2 7 6d ; forward cows. L 3 ss ; mixed store sheep, Us; ewes in lamb, Us ; mixed hoggets, 8s 4d ; thoroughbred mare, Potero, LlO 10s ; youog Clydesdale mare, LI B 10s.
