[PR* tTKITBD PRESS ASBOCIATIOI*.j Wellington, September 15. The Counties Act Amendment Bill was read a third time and passed. The land Bill was further considered in Committee. The provision that the homestead system be extended to the whole colony was negatived. Progress was reported, and leave given to sit again. The Colonial Secretary gave notice of a, new Biil-'The Local Boards of Contractors Bill.
