The Late Show

TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAB. In Saturday's paper on your report of the Poultry ana Produce Show I observe you remark on the mutilation of the game birds. Now, the rules distinctly state that no birds, &c, shall be cut or trimmed in any way and that such exhibits shall be disqualified. Therefore 1 wish to know if it is usual for all kinds of game fowl to have their combs cut. If so, should not the exception be specified in the rules that the uninitiated might trim their birds also, or if objecting to mutilate them, be spared the trouble of sending them. — I am, &c, A Member.
