A man who had recently " joined the majority" with the assistance of the Assignee in the Bankruptcy, was in a tradesman's shop the other day. The accounts for the month-; was lying on the counter ready for the collector to take out on his usual rounds. The astonished tradesman said "it would be a queer day for business people if everybody was like you, old man." We publish to-day an advertisement from Mr F. B. Linton; who has now opened a butchery on the -Kimbolton road in those premises formerly occupied by Mr William Whisker. He intimates that he is in a position to sell meat lower than any butcher in the Borough, as he has no ** middleman's" profits to allow for. He is determined to break down monopoly by supplying the best joints at reduced prices. He will also introduce a novelty in Feilding in the shape of small goods made up by an experienced butcher. The hitter item willproveagreat boonto the Feilding people. There was a splendid display in the shop yesterday, and the numerous customers attracted is a sure indication that Mr Linton's advent is heartily wel-. corned. j
