Bulls Items

Our Bulls correspondent writes: — Saturday was quite a gala day in Bulls in consequence of the monthly ' parade of the Mounted Rifles who were put through their facings by laeuts. Larkworthy and H. B. McKenzie. The company acquited themselves very well. The Clifton Brass Band, under Hie conductorship of Mr J. McGregor^ made their first appearance during the afternoon and played half-a-dozen pieces in admirable style, giving promise of great things for the future. This band now consists of 15 members, and for the short time since they commenced practise, they are to be commended for the great progress made.

The new Gospel (Baptist) Hall is to be opened on the 16th with a tea meeting, &c. Mr Gordon Furlong is to be the pastor.
