Kiwitea Road Board

An adjourned monthly meeting of this Board was held at its office, Manchester street, on Saturday last, at noon. Preflent— Messrs Taylor (chairman), Tyreman, aad Williamson. Baker, asking permission to fell bush on road line near his property, also for lease of gravel reserve on bis section; Mr S. Goodbehere, re the Wanganui Harbor Board case. The following resolutions were passed : — That the matter of Mr Mr Fry's letter be held over for the present. That Mr Watson be allowed to fell bush on road line if he will fell the some one chain wide, on the usual terms. That the clerk write to the clerk of Wanganui Borough Council asking upon what basis the proportion of of Hospital staff expenses is charged, arid pointing out that the Road Board agreed, at a meeting held for that purpose to pay £5 per annum. That ti\e Engineer be instructed to lay off tile work on Williamson's road. That the cheque paid for debentures now lying at the Bank of New Zealand be withdrawn, and the amount placed to the credit of the general fund account. That notice be given of the intention of the Board to strike a rate of f d in the £ on all rateable property in the Kiwitea Road Board district, at a meeting to be held on Saturday, 19th of September. ■ Accounts amounting te £118 16s 9d were passed for payment, after which the Board adjourned.
