[HEUTEBs' TELEGBA.MB.I Melboubne, August 23. The Orient Company's Garonne arrived this morning from London. Further communications between the Governments of New Zealand and Victoria on the subject of Intercolonial Cable rates have been made public. New Zealand^ agrees to a reduction of the tariff provided that Victoria contributes to the subsidy for the New Zealand cable, and the colony of Victoria agrees to do so provided that New Zealand is willing to pay her quota towards «übsidising the line between Victoria aad Tasmania.
